- See cover. "Each Mosque in Cairo has its dome. This is characteristic of the finest decoration. The domes are not large but raised up from the building in the manner shown. The builders seem to have regarded them as peculiarly suited to eternal display. The interiors are unimpressively plain as a rule. It is an external feature to balance the minaret & create a pleasing architectural harmony. Which it certainly does.".
