Bill Cohen, a descendent of the Gumbangangarri tribe from the Northern Tablelands of New South Wales, became an exceptional sportsman and roughrider, as well as a stockmen, boxer, soldier, swaggie, dingo hunter, railway worker, husband and father. In 1980 he sat down and wrote out the story of his life, and his daring and delight fill its pages.
Life in Macleay Valley, New South Wales, as expert stockman, buckjumper and sportsman; experience of army life during wartime; employment in Sydney underground railway and Northern Tablelands properties; genealogies of King Bobby and Widders family; Gumbangarri tribal boundaries, initiation ceremonies; Aboriginal reserves at Bellbrook, Burnt Bridge and Carooma.
