Daffy speaks of his parents and his school days and school games, his early working life such as dairying in the Colac District, his view of the Depression years, his family's musical talent, how his brother James played piano at dances in the local area, the type of dances performed in his day such as Lancers, bands were often only of two players, his own interests, other musicians in the locality, how he played at local dances.
