MS 765 is a small collection of essays and correspondence on literary subjects and Halinbourg's work. The essays comprise typescript drafts of "The stream of time: a metaphysical dialogue" and "Let's look at literature: an essay in dialogue". The 28 letters in the collection are typescript copies of correspondence exchanged with Patrick Coady, James Devaney, A.G. Millett, Bernard O'Dowd and Imogen Whyse (1 folder).

Writer. Beryl Halinbourg was born in 1900 in Melbourne. She was a poet who also wrote plays in verse and essays. Halinbourg won awards and citations for poetry published in the American journals Flame and Quintessence. Her married name was Mrs John Boothey. Halinbourg died in Melbourne in 1989.
