- Biography/History:

Edwin Graham Perkin, born in Hopetoun, Victoria, on 16 Dec. 1929, joined the Melbourne Age as a cadet in 1949. He was appointed Deputy News Editor in 1973. He was also Director of Australian Associated Press and Reuters (London). From 1961-1963 he lectured in journalism at the University of Melbourne. Graham Perkin died in 1975.
