The MS 5331 collection consists of drafts of Tipping's poems including those in the Soft riots (1972) and Domestic hardcore (1975) collections published by University of Queensland Press. There is also an author's signed copy of Domestic hardcore. In addition, Southern crossing draft statement; papers dealing with Tipping's publication Signs of Australia (1982), and his compilations, In public: Richard Tipping: 80-82 (1982) and Airpoet: word works (1979); correspondence, 1973-1982; 70 photographs and 12 colour prints related to his book Signs of Australia; and, files pertaining to the "Writers talking" film series.
The Acc06.034 instalment comprises a signed copy of the catalogue titled, Richard Kelly Tipping: public works (2002), "Prepare to shop" sticker, and, an invitation to the Errorism exhibition held at Multiple Box Sydney in 2004.

Artist, sculptor and poet. Richard Kelly Tipping was born in 1949, in Adelaide and lives in Newcastle, New South Wales, where he lectures in the School of Design Communication and Information Technology at the University of Newcastle. As an artist, Tipping is represented by the National Gallery of Australia; Powerhouse Museum, Sydney; Museum of Contemporary Art, Sydney; Multiple Box Sydney; Conny Dietzschold Gallery, Sydney and Cologne; Lismore Regional Gallery; National Gallery of Victoria; Greenaway Gallery, Adelaide; Queensland Art Gallery and a number of overseas galleries. Tipping's poetry has been included in various anthologies, including, The Penguin book of modern Australian poetry (1991), and, the New Oxford book of Australian verse (3rd ed., 1996). Tipping has published three collections with University of Queensland Press, including, Soft riots (1972) for which he was winner of the Harris Jones Memorial Prize for Poetry in 1972, and Nearer by far (1986).
