After discussing her childhood and dance training in South Africa and her early career as a dancer in London with Sadler's Wells Ballet, Dame Margaret Scott spends some time talking about her experiences with Ballet Rambert. She talks in particular about touring with the company during war time, the company's repertoire and the Australian tour and gives an personal account of Marie Rambert the company's founder/director. The interview also includes references to Scott's engagement by the choreographer John Cranko and a discussion of her role as founding director of the Australian Ballet School.
