Due to face a state election in coming weeks, NSW Premier Neville Wran is a relieved man when Mr Justice Cross, who is about to start an official inquiry into the corrupt dealings of Rex 'Buckets' Jackson, former Minister for Corrective Services in the NSW State Government, is forced to resign for health reasons. Luckily for Wran, this means that the judicial inquiry can only recommence after the election with the appointment of a new commissioner.--Information provided by Geoff Pryor.
