Chiefly comprising: biographical, financial and other personal papers; newspaper clippings concerning Australian and world events, 1854-1979; academic records and awards; papers relating to early scientific work; diaries and slides detailing overseas visits and interviews, talks, papers and correspondence documenting career with the CSIRO Division of Protein Chemistry; diaries of work events, together with legal documents associated with term as Minister (Scientific), London; correspondence and diaries relating to post-retirement period; notes, clippings and other papers reflecting general scientific interests.

Biochemist. Born in Melbourne, Lennox served as the Minister (Scientific) at the Australian High Commission in London between 1973-1976. Outside these years, the major portion of his career was spent as a CSIRO scientist, including the position of Chief of the Division of Protein Chemistry, 1958-1973. Amongst other honours, he was awarded the Rennie Medal in 1941, was the recipient of the Grimwade Prize in 1943 and was Deputy Chancellor, Monash University, 1968-1973.
