Letter in reply to Julian Stuart relating to acquaintances of his father. Julian Stuart, senior, was a trade unionist, journalist, poet and politician. One of the people Gilmore mentions is Leo Hayes who owned a large collection of Aboriginal weapons and artefacts.
- Biography/History:

Poet, prose writer and journalist. Gilmore was born at Mary Vale near Goulburn. She joined the New Australia movement and moved to Cosme in 1895 for four years. After returning to Australia in 1902 she wrote the Woman's Page for the "The Worker" for 23 years.
