Collection of letters received by Spencer (approximately 100) written by Bennett between 1954 and 1999. The letters describe her teaching life at the University of Sydney, her writing and publishing undertakings, and trips to various coastal and island locations to conduct field work. The collection also includes some newspaper cuttings (1946-99), photographs and articles on Bennett.

Entomologist. Spencer's malaria research increased knowledge of the biology and distribution of mosquitoes of Australia and Papua New Guinea. Marine biologist and author, Bennett is internationally renowned for her studies of the Great Barrier Reef and temperate seashores.
