MS 7992 comprises approximately 250 files containing correspondence, minutes, news cuttings, pamphlets, petitions, reports, ronoed documents, addresses, transcripts, material pertaining to Supreme and Industrial Court matters, newsletters and other papers relating chiefly to Aboriginal affairs throughout Australia. The principal correspondents include Frank Stevens, Josie Briggs, Gordon Bryant and Joe McGinness (30 boxes).
The Acc02.180 instalment comprises files of correspondence, reports, conference papers and cuttings relating to Christophers' involvement in the FCAATSI and his interest in indigenous issues generally. The instalment also includes files on the case of Aboriginal stockman John Belia (3 cartons).
The Acc04.105 instalment comprises correspondence, typescripts, wage statements, press releases, newsletters, newspaper cuttings, printed material and other papers. The papers largely relate to Chrisophers' involvement with FCAATSI and his interest in indigenous issues, the trust fund campaign and the 1967 referendum, and, more recently, the 1995 Cultural Diversity Conference and the death of Joe McGinness in 2003. There are also offprints of two articles by Christophers relating to the surgeon Frederic Wood Jones, 1995-1996 (1 box).
The Acc05.109 instalment comprises reports, articles and correspondence relating to the Petford Training Farm, 1989-2002, Cape York Justice Study by Justice Tony Fitzgerald, 2001, and related papers (3 cartons).

Barry Eastwood Christophers worked as a medical practitioner and was president of the Council for Aboriginal Rights (Victoria) and an executive member of the Federal Council for the Advancement of Aborigines and Torres Strait Islanders.
