Chiefly photographs relating to aviation in Australia and in particular, repairing aircraft. Includes photographs of aircraft crashes on Mount Macedon, Vic. and at Cook's River, N.S.W.; aircraft repair operations at Essendon, Vic. and of Singapore in the 1930s. Collection includes a pilot chart of the Indian Ocean (1930) and photocopies of letters by Jimmy Woods (1933), Allen Metherall (1987-1988) and Lance Hicks (1988)

Frank Colquhoun was one of the first aviation apprentices in Australia. He worked as a mechanic and pilot for McRobertson Airlines and later joined Australian National Airlines.
