Four of the compartments each holds one poem in their four states - original, translation, two imitations - with one sheet per state. Each poem (4 sheets) is inserted in a screenprinted acetate envelope with Akhmatova excerpts. The pages of each poem are interchangeable with the reader deciding on the order. The four prints are monoprinted using a 'ghost' technique; echoes of each poem but specific to none.
