Probably designed by Eric Jones for the British Australian Carpet Manufacturing Co. and promoted as 100% Australian with the Imperial Axminster carpet being designed, woven in Australia featuring a Australian motif of red waratahs, blue leschenaultias, flowering gums, white flannel flowers and the bottlebrush. The first use of an Australian wildflower design in an Australian carpet.
