- Notes:
-
- Attributed by Evans to Ezra Gleason, but not clearly by the same hand as Thomas's Massachusetts, New-Hampshire and Connecticut almanack (Worcester) for the same year, also attributed by Evans to Gleason. However, when compared with An almanack for the year of our Lord Christ 1780 by Daniel George (Newbury: J. Mycall), the frequency of correspondence between the astronomical and other notes on the monthly calendar pages of the two almanacs suggests a common authorship.
- The calculations vary slightly throughout. The calendar page notes include calculations of the rising and setting of "Yard L" or Yard and Ell, an archaic term for the belt of Orion. References to the Yard are at this time peculiar, in Massachusetts almanacs, to the work of George and that of Nathaniel Low, and regularly appear there. The almanac's calculations generally are closer to George's than to Low's and there is no other resemblance to Low's almanac. The preface is signed: "Isaac Bickerstaff."
