- British military map of the surrounding region of the Russian town of Sebastopol in the Ukraine at the time of the year-long siege by the French and the British of 1854-1855 during the Crimean War. The map shows the outline of the town and its harbour, the position of the French military camps encircling the town to the south, the British headquarters further south of the city and the British camp, as well as a couple of Sardinian camps. It also features the site of the Charge of the Light Brigade at the Battle of Balaclava on Oct. 25, 1854. Relief is shown by hachures.
