- Summary:
-
"Millar Place Kambah at 1645:30" hrs, 18:01:2003It didn't take long to knock out the fire in the side gardens, woodheap and front shed; but not in the rear shed, which got away. First the walls turned cherry red then flames gushed out the windows and door and all the cracks as it buckled and split. Then, suddenly, the whole back yard went up with a great flaming whoosh, that roared and sputtered as the powerlines flashed brilliant blue arcs then sagged and oozed molten globs of black gunk down to the ground. Unseen beyond all this, the house, garage and sheds over the back fence were well alight and totally lost"--Note from the photographer.
