"View from Forest Knob, Mount Franklin Road at 2030 hrs, 09:01:2003. By nightfall on 9th January 2003, the heading fire, northern and southern flanks of the Bendora fire were free burning and extended from Wombat Road for 1.5 kilometres upslope towards Bendora Arboretum and lapped into the Bushrangers Creek catchment to the north and into the headwaters of Bendora Creek in the south"--Note from the photographer.
