"Chalet Road, Bendora Hill at 1245 hrs, 11:01:2003. A strong flare up occurred when the southern flank of the Bendora fire; edging southwards along Chalet Road, burnt strongly into a large fallen tree crown, lofting burning material clear over the control line to start spot fires some 20 to 60 metres up-slope. One firefighter at this incident suffered mild injuries from smoke inhalation"--Note from the photographer.
