Agnes Booth (October 4, 1843 - January 2, 1910), born Marian Agnes Land Rookes, was an Australian-born American actress. She was born in Sydney, New South Wales, and migrated with her family to California in 1858 at the age of about 14, and soon began to secure minor roles in productions by San Francisco companies. In 1861 she married American actor Harry Perry, but was widowed in 1863. After two years of performing and touring the States she moved to the east coast, settling first in New York and later in Boston. In 1867 she married Junius Booth, Jr., manager of the Boston Theatre Company. After his death in 1883, she married her third husband, John B. Schoeffel, in 1885. Her theatrical career continued into the 1890s, and included numerous appearances on Broadway. [information from Wikipdedia, 2017.]
