Julian Gavin was born in Melbourne in 1965. He is an operatic tenor who in England first worked with Opera North and then made his Covent Garden debut in "Don Carlos" in 1996. Since then he has sung in opera houses in Europe, North America and Australia (including ten productions with Opera Australia). He also teaches at the Guildhall School of Music and Drama.
