Geoffrey Penwill Parsons AO OBE (15 June 1929 - 26 January 1995) was an Australian pianist, most particularly notable as an accompanist to singers and instrumentalists. He originally studied at the Sydney Conservatorium of Music: "He decided to at the age of 17 while at the Sydney Conservatorium to become an accompanist. In 1959 he came to England as accompanist to Peter Dawson. Since then he has accompanied many of the World's greatest singers, given concerts in 43 countrie and returned repeatedly to Australia on tour." (Karl Levett, 2015) He was awarded an O.B.E. in 1977.
