- Reissue, with collective title pages, of seven pamphlets originally published between 1795 and 1809.
- Recorded by Shaw & Shoemaker 28367 is "Select pamphlets ... Duane's collection, 2 v. Philadelphia, 1813-14." The contents are described only as "pamphlets issued separately 1795-1809." The only known volume of Duane's "Select pamphlets" dated 1813 is that "Containing: An investigation of the law of nations ..." This volume is also recorded separately by Shaw & Shoemaker 29765. Five volumes of Duane's "Select pamphlets" were issued in 1814 (see Shaw & Shoemaker 31364, 32739, 32740, and 32741), including two different collections "Containing: Sampson against the Philistines."
- Shaw & Shoemaker entry 32741 does not distinguish between two volumes of Duane's "Select pamphlets. Containing: Sampson against the Philistines. ..." One is as described here; the other includes: Sampson against the Philistines. Politics for American farmers. Letters to Alexander Hamilton, king of the Feds. Test of government.
