Collection of drawings of The Ascent of Widder's Peak cartoon featuring the character Colonel Pewter by the Australian cartoonist Arthur Horner. Colonel Pewter's adventures were initially published in Britain, beginning in the News Chronicle(1952), The Daily Mail (after a takeover in 1960) and later in The Guardian (1964-1970). Horner lived at various times in England and Australia. The entire run appeared in The Age, in Melbourne.
