- Inscriptions: "Portrait of Maria Brady, wife of James Brady, her cousin, daughter of William Lee of Claremont Kelso, born 1829 died 1923. Both her grandfathers came out in the First Fleet in 1788. This photo taken on glass about the year 1857 when she was 28 years of age. A duplicate of this was presented to the Womans [sic] Pioneer Society in 1938 by Emily Sophia Brady - Edric Hubert Brady 24/6/38"--In ink on verso of frame.
