MS Acc07.124 comprises letters from the chief migration officer at Australia House, London, addressed to Mr J.C. Woodworth, 1949-1960, relating to his application for settlement in Australia; Australian immigration forms; and, documents and ephemera pertaining to emigration to New Zealand and South Africa, including papers relating to the 1820 Memorial, Settlers' Association (established in South Africa in 1920).
The collection includes single issues of various publications on living in Australia including eight issues of "Facts about" pamphlets; Australia and New Zealand weekly (Oct. 25, 1952); Australian outlook (May 1973 and June 1973); Landall's Australia (No. 18, June 1973); and, the Jan. 10, 1910 issue of The graphic (1 packet).

Mr J.C. Woodworth of 4 Corndale Road, Mossley Hill, Liverpool 18 was selected for settlement in Australia under the Assisted Passage Migration Scheme in 1958. Woodworth attended Quarry Bank High School for Boys, Harthill Road, Liverpool from 1936-1941.
