The Acc08.083 instalment comprises photographs, ephemera from official functions, press cuttings, speech notes, correspondence, appointment diaires, notebooks, reports of parliamentary delegations and a VHS videocassette (10 boxes).
- Biography/History:

Politician. Margaret Elizabeth Reid was the first female president of the Australian Senate, holding office from 1996 to 2002. As a student at the University of Adelaide, Reid became the first female president of the Australian Liberal Students Federation. After graduating, Reid became a barrister, specialising in family law. She moved to Canberra in 1965. In 1981 she was elected to fill a casual vacany in the Senate, following the death of Senator John Knight. An active patron of over 80 community organisations, in 2004 Reid was appointed an Officer of the Order of Australia (AO) for service to the Australian Parliament and to the community.
