Folkloric recording. Macedonian traditional songs and dances, played on the Gaida and occasionally sung by Mr Veljan Vasilevski. The Gaida is a single drone, single chanter bagpipe from Macedonia. Prominant throughout the recordings is the Patisanska, a form of epic song concerned with Macedonian resistance to Turkish rule.
