- The ports of Nagasaki, Kanagawa and Hakodate were opend for trade in June 1859. There was no port in Kanagawa and they built it in Yokohama-mura; vairous versions of 'Kawaraban' were created, titled 'On bōekiba' and this is one of them.
- Names of five countries permitted to trade are written on the sheet: United States, Russia, England, France and Netherland.
- ' Ansei 6 midoshi 3 gatsu kaihan Tōkaidō Kanagawa' --- on the sheet.
- Names of the officials in charge, 'Gaikoku gobugyō' are listed on the sheet.
- The date on the official notice from the government is dated as March 16th 1859.
