Meredith speaks about William, Stan and Ted Meredith's move to Western Australia; his father Ted taking up land in the Burngup area; living conditions at Burngup including open fire cooking, drinking dam water, kerosene lanterns and candles for light, 50 miles in a horse and cart for mother's confinement, typhoid epidemic, and the family band 'Ted Meredith and co' playing for local dances. He also speaks about the more from Lake Grace to Boyup Brook in 1935; clearing the forest; farming with his brother Stan; the Cordering Cougars.
