-
- Map of the Indonesian island of Java showing the administrative divisions in effect on the island with an accompanying table listing these divisions alphabetically along with their size in square miles and the estimated populations. It includes topographic detail of the whole island, and is considered the first map to provide this detail for inland Java, as the Dutch had usually only mapped the coastal regions. An additional well-annotated map of Java by Dr. Horsfield gives a quick overview of the mineral and geological composition of the island. Lastly it shows the main harbours on the island of Nusa Kambangan [now officially listed as Pulau Nusakambangan]. The compilation and production of the map may have been produced by the British East India Company, for whom Raffles was an employee and a high-level official. Relief is shown by hachures, shading and bathymetric soundings.

- Map originally issued as an attachment to the back of vol. 1 in Stamford Raffles' publication entitled: The history of Java : in two volumes. London : Black, Parbury and Allen ; John Murray, 1817.
