The first major section discusses some antiquated ideas that have been held about the development process, provides a rationale for the program presented, and lists several references. The second section contains a discussion of the world of work, including the transition from school to work, conceptualized work, and expected trends. The third major section outlines a curriculum guide for career development programs. General objectives and implementation techniques are presented as are suggested activities and resources for grades K-12.
