This paper received the 1976 Gustav-Ohaus - National Science Teachers Association award for innovation in college science teaching. Presented is a methodology for teaching chemistry to nonscience majors which involves the student in the methodology and interpretative aspects of science. Included are six overall considerations of teaching approach which will involve nonscience major students with science and five specific practical examples for implementing the teaching approach.
