Professor Stretton is Emeritus Professor (History) and a visiting research fellow in the School of Economics, at the University of Adelaide, South Australia, and has been awarded five honorary doctorates. He is widely acknowledged as one of Australia's most innovative and influential social scientists and has published extensively within Australia and internationally.
