- The print series of 108 prints of famous Edo landscape started in 1856 and ceased in 1858. Hiroshige died on 1858 and the series went on to be completed by Hiroshige ll.
- 'The area used to be known as one of the best spots to cherish beautiful moon and cherry blossoms; the area lost its original atomosphere once the Edo government started the demolition of the hill to collect the dirt to build a fort with canons to protect the capital against the attacks of foreign ships.
