MS Acc11.082 comprises photographs and ephemera documenting the activities of the National Aboriginal and Islander Skills Development Association (NAISDA) Dance College, Aboriginal Islander Dance Theatre (AIDT) and other dance groups with which Dennis Newie danced and/or acted as choreographer, or unrelated dance groups which performed at events where he was present, between 1981 and 2009.
The other dance groups with which Newie has been associated, and which appear in the photographs, include Arpaka Dance Company, Bangarra Dancers, Fresh Dance Company, Jabiru Dancers and Ugar Island Dancers. The captioned photographs depict performances at venues in Melbourne, Sydney and Mullumbimby, Alice Springs and Yirrkala in the Northern Territory, and Brisbane, Cairns, Moa Island, Mornington Island, Murray Island and Thursday Island in Queensland, and Austria, Kuala Lumpur and South Korea. The ephemera comprises posters, news cuttings, programs and fliers relating to events in which Newie participated (2 boxes).

Indigenous Australian dancer. Dennis Newie is a member of the Aboriginal Islander Dance Theatre and Arpaka Dance Group. Newie, who uses the stage name of Dujon Niue, is based on Moa Island in the Torres Strait.
