- Gilt embossed Coat of Arms motto on front and back cover, 17th century contemporary leather binding; leather patch title on spine; blind embossed boards.
- Source of Acquisition:
- Originally owned by the Vyner family of Eathorpe in Warwickshire. Mr Thomas Vyner (1653-1708), head of the family in the late 17th- 18th century, included a passage in his will which stated that his library was not be sold, but pass to his descendants with the estate, demonstrating the value he placed on his book collection.
