Ben Tullipan, born in Taree, 17 December, 1975, talks about his early life; siblings; schooling; first job; meeting his future wife, Kerrie; family split; moving to the Gold Coast with his mother; his own business creating Balinese-themed homes; importing stock; buying trips to Bali; explosion at the Sari Club; Sanglah Hospital; being moved to Darwin and later to Brisbane hospitals; losing both legs; rehabilitation; the Bom Bali documentary; his subsequent medical care; people who helped him in Bali; marrying Kerrie; returning to Bali; memorials and Allambe Park; the bomber’s trials; impact of the bombing on Bali; volunteer work; positivity and resilience; his children; his milestones, values and beliefs; his hopes for the future.
