MS Acc13.158 comprises diaries, letters and photo album of the Reverend Ernest A. Codd and his wife Mrs Nell G. Codd, relating to their work with the Anglican Melanesian Mission. The diaries cover the period of 1933-1935, when the Reverend was assisting at a boys' school on the island of Vanua Lava in Vanuatu. A typed and bound transcript of these diaries forms part of the collection. Half of the letters in the collection were written by Mrs Codd to family members from Vanua Lava, the remainder were written during 1936-1938 by both the Rev. and Mrs Codd from Siota, Soloman Islands when the Rev. was warden of Selwyn College and later Sub-Dean of St. Luke's Cathedral (1 box).
