Advertisement encouraging the public to subcribe to the fifth liberty loan in 1917. Features image of a classically dressed female figure holding an Australian flag aloft and with "Australia" written on her head covering. She holds a large shield, edged like a coin, on which the details of the liberty loan appears. Below the woman appears soldiers with rifles and bayonets on a battlefield, with explosions and smoke wafting into the distance. "Authorised by the Commonwealth Treasurer" appears at the foot of the message along with "No. 57. This advertisement is one of a series prepared by members of the N.S.W. Ad. Men's Institute."
