- Summary:
-
A fine press book of poetry and two images, devised by the printer. "Each page comes from a larger meditation on the flower paintings of Piet Mondrian, who of course is better known for his so-called 'grid' paintings. But the flower paintings are extraordinarily - he himself disregarded them, painting them only to make make money in his often straitened circumstances - but their beauty has been an intense focus in my creative life, and I don't really think I have done with Mondrian yet. This book is written, designed, printed & bound by the poet. Paper is damped Magnani handmade, with Cave handmade paper covers, & types are Dante & Eusebius Open, printed on a Pratt-Albion handpress."--Prospectus from Electio Editions, December 2014.
