All aspects of motor cycling are covered, such as models and makes, road racing, trials, scrambles, hill climbing, speedway, quarter mile racing, tourist trophy, clubs and biographies of riders. There is a strong focus on the Bathurst events.

Peter Jones built up this collection with the intention of writing and recording history. He wrote for magazines and published a monograph entitled Historic motor cycling (Rushcutters Bay, NSW, Modern Magazines, 1978).
