British World War I recruiting poster. Features a boy wearing the uniform of the British Boy Scouts association. He stands in front of seven recruiting posters. The boy has one leg raised on a drum and his elbow resting on his knee. In his other hand are two drum sticks. The artist's signature appears at the lower right edge of the image. The image shows the link between the Boy Scouts and the recruiting campaigns. Membership of the Scouts was consdered to provide the beginnings of military training and in some regiments former Boy Scouts were made NCOs.
