The Blaicklock memorial lectures were instituted by Lady Persia Galleghan in honour of her father, Herbert Blaiklock, to commemorate his interest in the poet Hendry Kendall; they were expanded to include many aspects of Australian literature. The tenth lecture was given on 4 November 1980 by Professor Leonie Kramer, in tribute to Blaiklock and Kendall, but also to David Campbell, who died in 1979. Broadcast recording includes insertions of Tim Eliott reading some of the poems discussed by Professor Kramer during her lecture.
