Aloysius Bertrand (1807-1841), is a French Romantic and proto-Symbolist poet. Gaspard de la nuit is his best known work, and the inspiration for Maurice Ravel's 1908 piano suite. This is one of the largest Uncollected Works books, with two smaller scale but characteristic etchings from plates produced in 1977, printed by the artist and Greg Harrison in 2008.
