- Published about three weeks after the incident, this map shows the military and political relations of Japan, Manchuria, Russia, Mongolia and China proper around the time of the Marco Polo Bridge Incident of July 7, 1937. Portraits of the leaders and generals of China line the left border of map. Local animals and landmarks are also shown. Descriptive text on map gives the strength of the Chinese army at 2.75 million soldiers, with 940 aircraft in the air force.
