Bills dealt with include those for the New Zealand Company, Australian Agricultural Company, Van Dieman's Land Company, Canterbury and New Zealand companies, and Bank of South Australia. Reports of the House of Commons Committee on Public Petitions. Reel M1122 contains papers of Sir George Baden-Powell, Private Secretary to the Governor of Victoria 1877-78; George Henry Cadogan, Under-Secretary of State for the Colonies 1878-80; Sir Patrick Hannon, General Secretary of the Navy League 1911-18; two letters from Sir Ronald Munro-Ferguson on his appointment and voyage to Australia; selections from the papers of Sir Herbert Louis Samuel (1870-1963); Sir John Shaw Lefevre, John St Loe Strachey, and John de Vere Loder.
