Ohrin, a welfare officer and Indigenous Child Protection Worker, Family Services, A.C.T. Dept. of Education and Family Services, speaks about being removed at the age of 9 with her seven siblings to Bidura House, Glebe, N.S.W. She describes the living conditions at Bidura. Ohrin's teenage years were difficult and she spent time in a variety of foster homes and institutions, including Lynwood Hall, Ormond Institution, and Parramatta Girls' Home. She speaks about her efforts to regain custody of her two children. Ohrin has worked in community organizations and women's services.
