Banks' Florilegium is a collection of copperplate engravings of plants collected by Sir Joseph Banks and Daniel Solander while they accompanied Captain James Cook on his voyage around the world between 1768 and 1771. The plates from which this edition was printed were prepared under Banks' direction by various engravers, but were not used until 1973, when a selection of them was published under the auspices of the present owner, British Museum (Natural History), as: Captain Cook's florilegium.
